Amy Lou Adams is an American actor that has earned praise for her performance of charming and innocent characters. Adams was born to an U.S. Army officer in Italy and then grew up to be a resident of Castle Rock Colorado. Adams began performing and dancing professionally at the end of the 90s. She was part of Boulder Dinner Theatre, and then The Country Dinner Playhouse. She then moved to an area theatre located in Minnesota where she was cast in a mock documentary film concerning beauty pageants Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). After making her screen debut as a charming but snarky contestant she moved into Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. Her husband Tony Curtis was her partner between June 1950 and September 1992. She had two children, Kelly Curtis as well as Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh was found by actress Norma Shearer and signed a contract to be a part of MGM in the late 1940s. Leigh appeared in a variety of popular films in the next decade, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) and Living It Up (a Martin and Lewis-film from 1954).
