Four of them come from her father's previous marriage. They were initially located in Buenos Aires, but moved to Victoria when she was 6. Taylor Joy states that the move was extremely stressful. She refused to learn English and was hoping to move back to Argentina. Her school had to change between Northlands to Hill House. Later, she enrolled in Queen's Gate School where she trained in ballet and appeared in school productions. At the age of 16 she quit school in order in order to pursue acting as a profession. Taylor-Joy's desire to become an actor of professional caliber was born at an early age.
